Hi Carl, I have replied to your e-mail about some places to eat but there are tons of places to eat and drink certainly something for everyone.
It really depends on your taste, a lot of people who go out in Douglas tend to do pub crawls (as there is lots) and then head to either Colors or Paramount (Saturday Nights only for Paramount). There are two other nightclubs in Douglas one is the Venue, its ok but it is full of younger people, although they do regularly host comedy nights which is great, and a club called Breeze which again is fiorr the kind of Dance/Rave music types. It all really depends on your music taste. there are live bands which play in the office and at the Rovers, some good some bad, but you can guarantee whereever your staying there will be a somewhere to eat and drink. Let me know what area you are staying in and when you are coming and I'll get some more specific info for you.

If you haven't booked your accommodation yet (or even if you have, depending on your attitude to motorcycling) check your dates. At the end of August there's the Manx Grand Prix and two motorcycle trials weekend competitions. Accommodation can be difficult to find if you don't book early.
