Does anybody have a sense of how hard it is to secure tickets for the ferry to Provincetown.I E Mailed one company but they havn't replied.I'm a bit leary about booking too far ahead to ensure good weather. Is there more than one high speed ferry service? Thanks!

The only one I know of is Bay State Cruises and I don't think it's a problem to show up the day-of to purchase tickets, but to be safe, try checking in with them a day or 2 before you plan to go.

There are two fast ferry companies. Bay State <www.baystatecruisecompany.com> which docks in S. Boston and Boston Harbor Cruises <www.bostonharborcruises.com> which docks an easy walk from the commons and the north end. They generally run from Mid-late June until mid October. You need to book at least a couple days ahead during the peak season, particularly on weekends. If the weather looks bad in the morning call and change your tickets to another day.
