The Glen Guesthouse Lower Gardiner street

I am curious to know if any one has stayed at this guest house. It is located at 84 Lower Gardiner Street, and I have heard many bad things about this area of Dublin, lots of crime, need to worry at night etc. I would like to get the opinion of a few people on this. Thanks!

Gardiner st is central, near Connolly and the bus station, kind of parallel to the main thoroughfare O'Connell St.

Just try not to look too touristy.

I've stayed at 84-85 Lower Gardener - at both the Townhouse B*B and Globetrotters Hostel. Both were great expereinces. The location is great - easy walk into Temple Bar, steps away from the Bus station and Dart. I haven't had any problem walking in the area, though I didn't spend much time walking after dark.

Don't Stress, great location and as always just be careful. And eh the stabbings and shootings on that other reply, bit exaggerated, there few and far between and by people having crap with there own enemies. Also they are not surrounding that area they are scattered all over dublin like any other city, only much less here.

Lower Gardiner Street is close to a major train station and a bus station. It is exactly the same 'type of area' as any other city anywhere in the world has beside transport hubs.

A bit of cop-on and you will be fine.
