April or July

Need to chose between the first 2 weeks of April to come to Fort Lauderdale or the early part of July.
So I guess its either Spring Break or Hurricane season for us.
What would you pick.

Well, if you go during spring break you will experience a hurricane of people, which I think you would much prefer rather than the chance of experiencing the real thing and perhaps having your whole holiday ruined.

For me, choosing between Spring Break and hurricane season is easy - hurricane season.

You only have a chance of being hit by a hurricane, but you are guaranteed to be overrun by Spring Break...but that's just me ;-)

April is a little cooler. But July is ok too. Hurricanes happen in July, but rarely. July is very early in the season for them. This year is really an odd year. We have hurricane Dennis in the gulf this week, very strange.

APRIL!

Hurricanes are generally not a problem in July but you can almost guarentee a rain/thunder storm sometime during the day, where as in April it'll be sunny almost everyday.

april in the fort lauderdale region is lovely. I happen to like visiting in the summer however - the weather is uniformly hot and humid, but there are like no crowds anywhere. In April, and particularly at spring break and near Easter and Passover it can be pretty overwhelmed with humanity.
