| Essen | Help for hotel in essen on september 2005 Posted: Tue July 5, 2005 04:03 PM UTC
hello friends;
We will be attending the welding fair in essen on september 2005. could you please help me find and book a double room ( not exceeding 75 euros/night). I have tried many hotels, but could not find any place..I am desperate to find accomodation ( all what I could find through agencies was beyond 100 euros/per night (expensive!).. If there is no possibility in essen, what solution do you advise me? Is finding a hotel ( not more than 57 euros per night) in dusseldorf for example a good idea? how far is dusseldorf from essen? are there frequent trains over there? Can you help me please Many thanks in advance |

Hello,
many thanks for your help.. If I don't find any hotel in Essen, then I would book in Dusseldorf, it's better than being in an area around essen! Do trains stay late in night? because I am planning my days as follows: morning: starting 9a.m going to the fair ( welding exposition), do you have an idea if we can go there dirercty by train from dusseldorf? we would be spending the day in Essen and coming back in the evening. Is it safe? By the way, do you know any nice ( but not expensive) hotel in Dusseldorf, which is not far from the train station? Sorry with all my questions, but this is the first time to come to Germany and have no idea about hotels there. at the same time , can you give me any addresses for nice restaurants/bars in Essen? Many many thanks for your help ( I wish to be able to help you one day) Kindly yours

hello friend,
once again, many many thanks for your reply in fact I wrote all the list of hotels you gave me, but I had replies that there are no rooms left ( cause of the fair in september)..the only one that is left wants me to pay 123 euros per night. (while my budget should not exceed 75 euros per night!!) this is why I shoul look for a hotel cheaper and in an area in which at least I could benefit from going around and some shopping.. is the fair far from essen center?
