Hi,
Was just wondering about the surf in NC - is it easily accessible, like walking out into the beach or if not, how is the best way to access it?
What will the temps be in July?
Any good or bad experiences with NC from anyone.
Thinking of going in July and just wondered if anyone could help us.
Thanks in advance,
Me

Hi, don't know about Surf in New Caledonia (I went to Noumea on a trip about 13 years ago and didn't see any there from where I was, close to the beach)
I was there in December I think and it was soooo humid (don't know about July - probably similar since it's so close to the tropic line.
My holiday was good, but far less French than I was expecting, and less Polynesian too (more like French/Japanese) and some of the prices of food & stuff took me by surprise (not exactly the reasonable prices that guide books promised). Otherwise, it was very picturesque!

July in New Caledonia will not be overly humid as it is the cooler time of year - Probably around 23,24 degrees. As for surf - there isn't any.
It's a fact that you can only surf when a cyclone is approaching!
New Caledonia can be expensive but there are ways to save money. Stay at the Youth Hostel and eat from the food vans in town or self-cater. Try to learn some French or life can be a bit difficult. Check out my page for a little more info.
