| Københavns Amt | Copenhagen Layover Posted: Mon July 4, 2005 10:00 PM UTC
Hello,
I am in the process of buying plane tickets to Tallinn for a conference. Right now it is looking like I will change planes in Copenhagen. I have never been through the airport before and don't know how much time I should allow for customs and plane transfer. Is 1 hour and 35 minutes between arrival time and departure time enough, or should I find a later flight out? Thanks for any advice. Josh |

if your plane is on time then you can make a transfer in 1 1/2 hour.
the lines at copenhagen airport are quite short compared to most other main airports around the world.

but if you have a transer in copenhagen airport it's almost always a transfer within the star alliance and they all fly from the same terminal.
it will never be more than a ten minute walk though unless you are changing to a domstic flight.

You can walk from one end of the airport to the other in 15 minutes, and customs have never been more than about 20 minutes the times I've been through, so 1½ hours is plenty if the plane is on time. If you arrive from within EU you don't even have to go through customs at all.
If you book the tickets seperately and have to go get your bags and check them in again then maybe you are cutting it close though.
