Versailles Understanding the RER
Posted: Mon July 4, 2005 05:03 PM UTC
I have a somewhat silly question. I have mastered the metro. But when it comes to the RER, I'm at a loss. I seem to get lost each time I try to go to Versailles. Which RER train do I take? Where is the easiest station to hop a train (after buying tickets) to Versailles? Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you come from central Paris, you need to take a RER C - code "VICK"
possible stations : Saint-Michel Notre Dame, Musee d'Orsay, Invalides, Pont de l'Alma, Champ de Mars, ... depending on where you start from

you take the line C and train VICK or VERO that start with V as in Versailles Rive-Gauche (not to be confused with Versailles Chantier which is deserved by train starting with a C)

Hi,
I am Julien From Versailles.
RER C Vero or Vick to versailles Rive gauche station.
You have an other possibility : you take the train in Montparnasse station to Versailles Chantier station. It's very fast : 15 minutes.
The ticket cost around 3 euros.
You can question me about your visit if you want. Sorry for my english...
