Does anyone know if advance purchase or reservation is needed for the bus going from Cordoba to Granada in August?

Are there any trains going from Cordoba to Granada?

Any recommendations out there for how/where to purchase these in advance, as I've been told not to wait during high season?

According to the Spanish train website - www.renfe.es - there is no direct route from Cordoba to Granada.

I searched the Spanish bus website http://www.estaciondeautobuses.com. I can't work out how to input the origin and destination of the journey! I gave up, went to the links and found that the Continental Auto Bus Company - http://www.continental-auto.net/index.do - does the Cordoba/Granada run and you can purchase tickets online apparently.

Train is longer and goes via Bobadilla. Spanish railways website does not give you journies involving a change of train ! Bus would be the best idea. You could look at www.movelia.es for times and costs and also you can book on this and exchange printed booking for ticket at bus station. Usually best if you are travelling as a party or at busy times such as Easter.
