Has anyone been there? I took a look at http://www.cocos-tourism.cc/ and there seems to be only flights from Perth, anyone know if there's any from Christmas Island?

i went to cocos about 5 years ago to go diving .its only a small island and not alot to do there ,food expensive alcohol cheap .its nice enough surroundings but small and gets a bit boring quick ,locals arent interested in helping you with anything and pretty much stick to themselves ,there is a population of 400 cocos malay muslims who do not much, at taxpayers expense .it turned me off going to an island again ,there are FAR better ways to spend your holiday dollars than going there ,when travelling i like to keep moving as see as much as i can and stay interested but on an island that small ,unless you just want to lie on your bum , diving is ok but not super special ,i think there are better choices,and better holiday destinations
