Two freinds and i are in bangkok at the moment . we were wondering if any one would no of the best route to take next, north or south? we have a fair amount of money remaining as we have only been here 3 days! cheers!

man, if you want beaches go south, especially to krabbi town and then from there take like a water taxi ferry thing to raileigh beach. Even further south are the islands, koh tao is smaller, more chilled out, more beautiful, the other islands are great if you want huge parties. If you go north, you get forest, hills, elephant rides and all the mary J, opium or whatever you want to smoke. Both good options!

I don't think there is a "Best" route. Just choose one and you'll be happy either way! There are cool things to do or see in any direction! I just came from Thailand 6 days ago and had a blast! Consider Myanmar if you have the time/money.
