There doesn't seem to be any information or forum discussions anywhere about Pune! I will be staying there for 4 months later this year, and I don't know anything about the city, its people, shopping, eating, or customs! Can anyone help? :-)

I am really looking forward to going, and I will be sure to document everything I find in the region, so that they recieve more enthusiastic travellers in the future! Haha, I'm still feeling a little less prepaired than I should like, but hopefully, with more research and perhaps a little more forum help ... all will be well.

I chose the University of Pune as an exchange through my University here in Calgary, Canada. I have always wanted to see India, and I thought that this would be an excellent opportunity to see a part that I might be a little uneasy seeing alone as a solo female traveller. They also offer very integrative courses in Social Work and Art, which are both my academic areas of interest. :-)
