going to stay at the Hyattt for 10 days in Aug/Sept 05, getting a bit concerned about the hotel after reading so many bad reports. Has anybody stayed there recently if so is it ok

Hyatt is one of the best hotels in Kuantan. You can't choose a better hotel to stay in Kuantan. You'll have in house restaurants facing the sea, gym etc. If you are looking for fast food, McD is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Public bus that goes to city centre also stop near to the hotel. Enjoy your stay!

Bad report? What bad report? Maybe most of the staff are new, but I would still give that hotel a high rating. Of course when the old staff were there, things were different, they were a bit more service friendly; at least after having visited the hotel recently and on many other previous ocassions.
