Airport departure tax

Can anyone tell me what is the airport departure tax of Venice??

In Europe airport taxes are normally added to and thus included in the price of the ticket.

Departure tax for VCE (Venezia Tessera Marco Polo airport) is EUR 6.87 plu 1.81 security charge. I'm not sure if this is still current. I don't know the amount for the smaller TSF (Treviso) airport.

This doesn't really help the original poster, since it may suggest that the taxes are to paid on departure (as they often are outside Europe). In Europe the taxes are paid to the Government by the carrier/airline, which of course adds them to its basic price for travel to give a total price to be paid by the traveller when purchasing the ticket.

My post suggests that departure taxes are in the EUR 10 range. It answers a simple question with a straight answer and suggests nothing other than the fact that airport taxes are about EUR 10. No reference is made to how taxes are collected because the previous post (your post) had already addressed that issue.

Departure tax ALL OVER THE WORLD may change from many matter... company you use to fly (usaully american companies pay less taxes in USA than the same flights of an European), the time of take off/landing, in many airports there is a great discount if departure/arrival is early morning or at night (that's why many low-cost companies...), probalbly many companies manage to debit the same price during all day as they contracted first or the make a media on them.. Plus depend by the aircraft, how heavy is, services required.. a B747 or A340 pay much more than a B737 or A320, too many things.. you'd better say which airline you use from and where (VCE or TSF) you ar going..
