Larnaca Travel Forum

I'm flying into Larnaca on Friday afternoon at 4pm and need to get to Polis as quickly and cheaply as possible. Anyone know how I can do this please?

Well, if you were arriving earlier it wouldn't be that much of a problem. You see, the only way to get around in Cyprus (apart from private taxis) is a shared minibus company called Travel Express. They would pick you up from Larnaca Airport and drive you to Limassol but that is as far as you would get as they stop operating their intercity routes at 6 p.m. And from Limassol you have to change to go to Pafos and there change again to Polis.
The only available option at that time is to take a private taxi but I wouldn't recommend it as it will cost a minimum of 60 Pounds Sterling.
Or alternatively you could ind some cheap accomodation in Larnaca for the night and leave for Polis first thing in the morning.

Hrm, dazed still might be able to get to Paphos though? So let's say s/he gets to Limassol by 5:30pm then s/he might still be able to catch the very last TravelExpress out at 6pm. Do we think that's realistic? (www.travelexpress.com.cy for their website - they have a contact form but not sure how responsive they are to inquiries). The TravelExpress will run you about £5 per leg.
