I shall be visiting Bonn during 2nd week of October.I was in Bonn 2 years ago in May, but I could'nt explore the city fully.

1. What about weather during October. Do I need warn cloths?

2. Are there any hiking tracks around ..... pl. give me the locations and other details.

3. Night life?.... at affordable cost.

4. Any other tip from an insider?

Concerning weather in Bonn in October, it is autumn, the weather can be unstable - rain and sun and quite cool - but it can also rain and drizzle for days. Temperature range 0 to 20 degrees, I would say. For hiking, you can take any local train going sountwest into the Eifel mountains (hills, actually), it is not spectacular but nice to relax and hike through the forest.

oh good old bonn... well october can be very nice, especially with the beginning of indian summer when the trees are shining in in all different colors. if your lucky youll be there on a sunny day, if unlucky youre gonna be caught in heavy rains. some drizzles are for sure, but chances are good that you might catch the last rays of sun as well.
definately pack warm! even if the sun is shining, the mercury wont rise above 10-14 degrees and thats if youre lucky!

concerning hiking tracks you got many options. as mentioned before the eifel is a got option but its also a little bit further away. if youre driving, check out the ahrtal further south along the A565. ideal spot for hiking and wine tasting alike! continue from there to bad neuenahr and check out the spa town and its casino!

if you wanna stay closer to the city try the siebengebirge. its jus tsouth of bonn. the most touristy spot there is the drachenfels (accessible from koenigswinter).

night life... it depends on what you fancy. if its clubbing youll probably wanting to opt for cologne (take a train from hauptbahnhof, about 10euros).
bonn is not really a hot spot for nightlife, there are some clubs though. like the N8schicht (near stadthaus) or the carpe noctem (adjacent from the hauptbahnhof). other options include the pantheon (near museumsmeile) or the falle (near university).

there is an array of different pubs in bonn. most can be found at the altstadt.
the housebar (next to opera) is a trendy chill out point with decent house music and good cocktails. try the GUM near friedensplatz, its a darkish and kinda shabby russian style pub with a huuuge selection of eastern spirits, vodkas and beers. it seems to be open 24/7. they now also have a nightclub with pole dancers, etc. mainly russians go there, but it can be fun.

general tips: check ou the museum der deutsche ngeschichte in the museumsmeile. here youll learn everything about the german post war history (admission free). or go for a stroll at the rheinaue (take route 66 tram to bad honnef, exit "rheinaue"), the bonn version of central park. here youll also find some nice beer gardens (weather permitting).
hop on the same tram again and trave lfurther south to bad honnef and visit the birth house of germanys first chancellor konrad adenauer (admission free).
in bonn itself you might wanna check out the botanischer garten in poppelsdorf as well as the poppelsdorfer schloss (very nice!).
the best beer garden (once again weather permitting) is the Am Alten Zoll, near the university towards the rhine. dont bother with beethovens house of birth. nice to look at from the outside thats it. to touristy!
