wowww good Carin to inform us.
Ah strikes happen more and more often.
Roamer61 had luck visiting Brussels and going to Paris... the strike began just after he departed and was finished when he got back...
it could have been different.
it is a pain for all who strands somewhere, especially tourists.
Good to warn them.

It's a shame there is only information about a "POSSIBLE" strike at the Dutch railway website www.ns.nl. on the moment.
At the English version there's no information at all and the international and national railplanners just give info on trains as if they will run this friday.
There's a kind of status quo between the Unions and the Dutch Railways. Both don't want to have the passengers involved, but both don't want to change anything in their conflicting standpoints.

the announcement was made at :
http://www.nu.nl/news/541000/10/Vrijdag_vanaf_03.00_uur_geen_treinen_%28video%29.html
(dutch language)
so instead of 15 it will be from 03-23 hrs

ah too bad for, must be awefull not to go where you need to.
but ...in the netherlands we have enough transport like buses and taxi's to go anywhere, the country isnt that big:-)
as for people going oustide the netherlands, they could visit www.eurolines.com, they go to the most neighbouring countries at least once a day:-)
