Hey guys looking for some advice. Myself an 2 friend are travelling to las vegas in august and we are looking at booking a pyramid room at the luxor. Just seeing if anyone has stayed there or anybody has any tales of warning. Are the rooms with the 2 double beds big. If not the luxor what other hotels would you recommend in that price bracket.

Cheers

The Tower rooms are much, much nicer. I would recommend staying in one of those.

Las Vegas is plenty of good hotels... next to luxor there is the excalibur or just cross the strip there is the Tropicana, i've been at Tropicana twice, I think is a good compromise between quality and price.

I stayed in a Luxor Pyramid room with 2 friends and it was fine. Not huge, but big enough, and a nice bathroom. Also, the Luxor has a GREAT pool and serves delicious pool-side Pina Coladas : )

I stayed in one of the tower rooms at the Luxor last year. The room was pretty standard. The beds were average double beds. Luxor is a place that I can recommend staying at. Mandalay Bay and the Excalibur are the hotels adjacent to the Luxor and I believe they are in the same price range.

The rooms are average in the pyramid but I'll always remember hitting my head the first couple of times I went to look out the window. Slow learner.
I stayed at Palace Station and LV Hilton in April and both were fine (especially for free) but I actually liked Palace Station better because it was easier to manuever in and seemed more homey. Plus it has a very good non-gourmet breakfast buffet that is only $4.99.
Have a great time
