Skagway clothes

we are traveling to alaska by cruise ship in september and was wondering how cold it is there and what clothes should we take

Take a warm jacket and perhaps a sweater or two. The weather should be rather nice, starting to cool down somewhat. Better to prepare with the jacket an sweater, just in case.

The rule of thumb for packing for Alaska is be prepared for *anything* and plan to dress in layers. And bring mosquito repellent, although the worst of the mosquitoes should be over by September. That's actually a wonderful month to be in Alaska. Enjoy!
