Chongqing flood and bad weather in yangtse and 3 gorges and guilin??????

Hi, we will be in China for a roundtrip in July. From july 21st to 24th we are on a river cruise at yangtse 3 gorges and from 25th to 27th we wil be in guilin. Recently I have heard a lot about bad wather, floods, typhus and deads because of that. Who is in that region actually or can tell because of his experience what is awaiting us. Will the ships be going if there is flood or will the scenery/landsape/fields ... be destroyed? Pleas help us to plan our trip, maybe we can go anywhere else, thoug we wanted to see that part of china.

Hi,
Since you plan for the roundtrip from July 21st, there is still about one month to go, so now u cannot actually predict the weather. Personally, i dont think it would be a problem, the bad weather almost comes to those particular part of area every year.

I am from Chongqing. I am be back there about middle of July. If u want,pass me some posts later,I will try to check the local weather and time for u, see if it can help u guys out.
