is there much for children to do in bugibba

Not really.

Most bigger hotels have pools. If you want to swim in the sea, wear platic shoes. In Bugibba there's no sand beach, rocks only with Quara point maybe the best place to go.

With bus 652 Sliema-Qawra-Golden Bay (sand beach) you can go the one of the few sand beaches.
In Quara/Bugibba there are local play halls (pool and gambling machines).

Along the coastal walkway there are some small attractions for children, but I question the safety aspect of some of them.

There are a couple places with bumper cars on the coastal road Islet Promenada and Qawara Coast Road. Many hotels have animation for kids and programs, especially the larger ones. Other than that i dont remember seeing much for kids. I just got back from Malta last Monday (30 May) and stayed in Bugibba.
