Jiuzhaigou Travel Forum

I am planning to go jiuzhaigou end of this year. I just wonder if October or November the best month to travel? How many days is enough for jiuzhaigou and surround attractions?

Best time to visit the place is before October 15th. You can spend 3-7 days once you get there.

What about jiuzhaigou in July? how's the weather then? And, does anyone know the fastest way to get there from Shanghai? I'd only have 4 days (Friday-Monday, but could depart after 7pm on a Thursday).

Don't travel anywhere in China from Oct 1- Oct 10, it's the national holiday and the whole 1.2 billion people is travelling. You don't want to squeeze with them.
Go to JuiZhaiGou end of October or November. It's considered the peak period and so everything will be more expensive, from transport to even entrance fees! July is not an idea time, but you can go. It can get a little rainy.
Depends on how many days you want to spend in the park. I suggest at least 2 full days in JuiZhaiGou and just half a day or 1 day @HuangLong is sufficient. Therefore, at least 4 days in all.

Thks very much for your reply. What is the best way to get to Lhasa from Chengdu other than flights? I also plan to visit shunan bamboo sea and I think the scenery will be fantastic. Do you think it's worth to slot into my already tight plan?

1 day shunan bamboo
1 day mt siguniang
2 days leshan, mt emei
3 days jiuzhai
3 days tibet.
