Varanasi Planning trip to India. Varanasi/Dharamsala or Goa/Bombay?
Posted: Wed June 1, 2005 06:21 PM UTC
Off to India for a few weeks. We only have 2 weeks there (killing me I know) but I am arriving in Dehli and then planning on jumping a train in the AM to Agra and then continuing on to Varanasi. Then I think that I want to go down to Goya and see some friends in Bombay. Other option is to go up to Rishikesh and Dharamsala. Any advice?

Also has anyone taken nutribiotic, extract of grapefruit, or
acidophilus or kiodophilus before meals? New to India but have traveled around a bit...just want to stay un-sick for as long as possible.

2 weeks ?? definitely no no no no, not enough though.

Goa is not the season now, no tourist and so empty, so dont go there.

Probably you should concentrate on north which is, go to rishikesh, and take a train to pathankot, then bus to dharamsala, good weather and shanti shanti !! I bet you gotta meet lots lot lot of Israelis on both location.

If you really need to go to Mumbai, then take the fly, they have lauched the new low cost airlines which is SpiceJet, the fare from Delhi to Mumbai quite cheap though, so check it out.

For healthy stuff, i dont know, havent take any of those and still stay good and un-sick yet...woo hooo...now in pune.

If visiting Agra, then try to see khajuraho too and then go to Varanasi.Dharamshala is also better place to go in summer. The extract of grapes is available here as Aurvedic medicine"Drakshasav",but it is good in winter only and should take as prescribe by the doctor.Best wishes.

Most acidopholis needs to be refrigerated, so is impractical to take while you are traveling. I have taken for at least two weeks before leaving home. Supposidly that will get the good bacteria working in your tum tum before you arrive. Good luck.
