| Tallinn County | Eurolines bus from Tallinn to Riga Posted: Wed June 1, 2005 10:34 AM UTC
Hi, I've just booked a return bus ticket online from Tallinn to Riga.
Its the 149 bus which leaves at 12pm on each journey. Is this trip ok? Is the bus good or not? Is there any trouble at the border? Also, where do I get the eurolines bus from? Is it just at the bus station? Thanks! Jonny. |

Hello,
You get the bus at the autobusijaam, or something like that. You can reach it by tram from the old town. The journey is okay, most probably there will be no fuss at the border. Most busses I have come accross were a bit older buses from my country (The Netherlands). Though you might some chairs not as stable as others, there is nothing wrong with the bus 'an sich'. Have a nice journey

The bus leaves from Autobussijaam = Central bus station in Tallinn (For more details, feel free to check out my Tallinn transport tips here on VT)
I've done the Vilnius - Tallinn - Riga - Vilnius - journey by Eurolines buses, the buses were quite ok, everything went swiftly & smoothly at the borders. ~mette~

I've also done that journey many times with no problems at all -- the buses are good and no problems at the border (just usual passport checking) -- journey takes about five and a half hours if I remember correctly.
Have a good trip.

The trams dont run to Autobussijaam at the moment. There is a bus nr 52 that takes you to Autobussijaam. You can also take bus nr 17, 17A, 21 and 21A / they get you straight to Eurolines bus stop.
