Hello, I'm travelling solo this summer from Sicily to Bari and I'd like to take the hydrofoil from Bari to Durrės. I'm wondering how safe it is to travel by yourself on the hydrofoil/ferry.

Hi, i don't understand why would be more unsafe to travel by yourself from Bari to Durres than others travels. I was born in bari (a town less dangerous than others) and in the past (1994) i was volunteer in albania. I travelled a lot around the world and i can say you that everywhere a tourist can be an easy prey of cheats, pickpockets. So you must be careful as in your others travels. Have nice days. The south of italy and albania are beautiful lands and people still keep the host's duty. bye :-)

In that case, I've read that there are also Catamaran trips available between Bari and Durrės that are much quicker and much cheaper (on Quality Lines ?). Have you heard anything of their reliability and/or price? I can't find a website where I can check such information.

I know that Quality Lines (Portrans Agency) has a catamaran (Millenium Star) from bari to Durres but i don't kwnow the prices.
