Massage classes in Thailand
Posted: Thu May 26, 2005 09:55 AM UTC
A friend has asked me to post the following question about massage classes in Thailand:

.......................
Hi all,

I'm interested in completing a Thai Massage course in Thailand.

Having been there I'm aware everywhere seems to offer courses but I'm interested in
a recognised qualification or certification. The main training colleges seem to be in Chaing Mai.

Has anyone completed a recognised massage course and where would you recommend ?

..............
I will pass on any replies posted here.

Many thanks

Jane

There's a massage course at Wat Po in Bangkok (Near the grand palace) They also have massage service.

Here are some pics there.

HI. Yes I've taken the massage class in Wat Po and it's very good. Ratio is 1 teacher to about 2-4 students per group, but there are many groups in the class. You will be paired with a buddy. Check out their website at www.watpomassage.com. Rate is about Baht 7,000 for Thai Massage and Baht 5500 for foot massage course. BTW, the classes are not in the Wat Po compound but behind it. You can go to the massage center inside Wat Po and they will take you to the learning center at the back of the temple, near the river.
