| Togo | Visa? Posted: Wed May 25, 2005 03:44 AM UTC
I live in Israel (but hold a US passport) where there is no Togalese Embassy. I have seen some reports that you can get a visa at the boarder. Does anyone know if this is true? I will be arriving by by land from Ghana.

I know that if you enter by air, you can get a visa for 1 week only at Lomé airport. If you stay longer you have to go to yhe main police commissariat to have it extended(takes 2 days, unless you know a policeman).I would think that the same applies entering by land.Have at least 4 photos and visa price is 15000,000 cfa although they will accept dollars or euros, albeit with a slight increase in price!!!

Well, it´s possible to get the visa at the board but it is only for one week. Then you have to go the immigration office to get the visa for a month. For more information visit this website http://www.republicoftogo.com/
