Whats the best way to get from Baden Baden by train?

Thanks. I've tried that website but it says the trip takes 7-9 hrs, which is hard to believe. I watched a show where the host said it was a 3hr trip.

When I checked it the DB timetable the fastes connections show up with 4:08 travel time.
3 hours is by car. Rothenburg can be only reached by train from the Bavarian side via Würzburg or Ansbach - thus coming from Baden-Baden the route is anything but direct.

Are you sure you have choosen the right Rothenburg? There is more than one.
