Is it easy to work a a teacher in Cambodia? How much does a teacher makes a month?

I met an expat who taught English free lance in PP and he also had some contact with a local university, but he didn't make a lot of money for western standard. He had enough to live there. In Khom pong Cham, I thing, I met another expat who had been living there for over 10 years. He had opened a school for local students and he said to me that you couldn't make money as a teacher in cambodia. I was enquiring because I am an English teacher myself.
A lot of "private universities" pop up out of the blue in cambodia delivering "diplomas. The truth is that the state of national education in cambodia seems to need redirection as many other things in this country.

Hi,

I think you will be very lucky to make any money as a teacher in cambodia. Volunteer opportunites do exist. Check out www.sccambodia.org who are currently looking for volunteers. They may also be able to give you more info about earning money through teaching in cambodia.
