hi im natalie ive been to the algarve 5 times and know you will love it...#

Hi Nathalie, the time to go to Algarve is come, I'll follow all your suggestion, the off road ride in which city is? LAgos or Alvor? I'll be the first 3 days in Lisboa and then a week to lagos (probably by bus, can you raccomand this way??). Once there I'd like a trip to Cabo Sao Vincente, to the atlantic coast over the cape and I wont miss albufeira. any other raccomandation?
You know if in lagos is possible to rent some motorbikes or scooters? Every kind of info you'll give me will be really apprecheate!!! Thanx a lot, Maks

We had a great time last august in Lagos. The town is beautiful and the beaches are the nicest in the algarve. We stayed in this apartment which had the greatest oceanview and the price couldnt be beat.

Well, you've certainly picked the right place at the right time. Luz is a pretty place with a good beach, close to Lagos (by car or taxi), and a good base from which to travel around the "unspoilt" Western Algarve. August will be warm too!
I'm not so familiar with the night life of Luz (it's quite a small place) but you'll definitely find that Lagos is buzzing in the Summer, with plenty of restaurants and a good handful of bars along its many cobbled streets. Also a wide choice of beaches, including Meia Praia (all 3k of it), and many smaller beaches/ coves including the famous Praia Dona Ana, a cosmopolitan Marina, and of course the historic town itself (even though they are building rather too much on the outskirts, but that's my gripe!) Where you travel to depends on your taste. There are many historic places to see, in addition to Cape St Vincent, Sagres Fort, Silves Castle, through the designated area of natural beauty on the West Coast, where you'll find some breathtaking scenery and beaches. Or you could take a trip into the Monchique mountains (your safari trip should take you there, as it will to the highest point in the Algarve. Say hello to the mountain goats on your way up!). Anything else I can help with, please don't hesitate to ask.
