Sakura Matsui begins tomorrow and runs through April 7. All of the eventys will be going on as schedules despite the war in Iraq.

Feel free to come for a visit to Washington, DC during this great Cherry Blossom event.

Hi,Joan!

I live in Japan and Unfortunately I can't go Washington now....

Here in Japan, Sakura(cherry blossoms) festivals starts from late March to mid-late April.

Hope you'll enjoy cherry blossoms,too!

The cherry blossoms are not expected to be in full blossom during the festival (which is planned in advance.) The cold, late winter this year has delayed the blossoms. The latest estimates for seeing the cherry trees at their best are for the time between April 8 and April 18.
