Berjaya resortt - bars and restaurants around the resort? Posted: Mon May 16, 2005 11:31 AM UTC
hi!
i´m planning to go to this hotel in august/september this year.
Can you tell me forst if the weather is nice then?
how far away is the next village from the resort?
are there restaurants or bars, so that you can have dinner outside the hotel?
is it possible to rent a motorbike?
is it possible to play tennis?
Can you share your experiences with me? i would really appreciate that!

August/September is a pretty good time to go since it is generally good weather with not many people around. However even the best of times it does rain in the tropics.
The resort is pretty much on its own with its own private beach. It also means that it is almost impossible to get around the island except by boat or ferry which means when you stay there, you pretty much stay there.
It has about 6 restaurants and facilities like pools, sports centre and tennis courts.

There are two little restaurants which are walking distance from the front gate of Redang Berjaya... (maybe 5 minutes walk...) Food is not bad, and its a lot cheaper than the hotel.... (Just not a beer to be found, tho....)

hir you two and thanks a lot for your answers.
i heard that the beach is very nice at the berjayas. but i would prefer to have the possibility to go "outside" the resort for a drink or a meal...
could you recommend me a nice resort with a níce beach?
Or maybe I should go on another island? what do you think?

Hi bebee,
I've been to Berjaya Redang Beach Resort in July last year. It's a nice resort but as the other 2 VTers said, its location is quite isolated, yet the beach is really nice and not crowded. If you prefer to have drinks or meals outside the hotel, perhaps you can look for the hotels on the so called main beach. A friend of mine has stayed in Laguna Redang Island Resort (http://www.lagunaredang.com.my) which's not bad, please check it out ^_^

Hi,
I will stay in Laguna Redang Island Resort and want to know whether can take the taxi boat to visit Berjaya Redang Beach Resort? If not, how can I get there?
