A must is to rent a car. Then tour the Island, esp the thin leg of the island...The views of the Carribean and the Atlantic on both sides are awesome..Of particular beauty is Sand Bank beach,an isolated jewel, ( may be unreachable as the road was rough 10 years ago....Caribe Batik, an interesting place where colorful cloth is made by a numerous wax and dye method..I read that the sugar cane trains , which were colorful, have shutdown...CSR (Rum)and Ting is THE drink as is Caribe beer...I highly recommend a catamaran sail to Nevis.....An open bar, snorkling, a great lunch, and a bus ride into town....Reggae, limbo, moving to the motion of the ocean on the Celius 2....at least those were my fume laden memories a decade ago....The rain forest hike is a guided tour...and , in my opinion, wasnt all that great...Of more interest was the veiw from Ft Brimstone, the small towns we drove thru and the kids... There is Great pride in their schooling, reflected in thier crisp, clean school uniforms...Be discriminate in taking an individuals picture, and do some limin(g) with the Kittians.....
