I will not be there, but easter week is a very big thing in a catholic country like El Salvador. For general info. I suggest you go take a look at my El Salvador page.
As far as places to go, if you want to see the religious processions then you should head to Sonsonate. I believe salvadoreans take advantage of the hot weather at this time to go to the beaches and lakes so many of them will be crowded. (the cities on the other hand are generally empty!) I understand the processions in Sonsonate and other neighboring cities and villages are quite a big production. In Central America the best processions however are in Antigua Guatemala. Keep in mind that good friday almost everything will be closed!

be aware of humidity and go out being confident of yourself be good to other and friendly. el salvador is not exactly what new makes it be it beutifull you know!

Hey how are you? I am originally from El Salvador living in Canada. I'm completing to Degree in Tourism/Travel course in College. I have considered working for Tourism El Salvador, but I actually know nothing about my country...pretty sad I know! Well if you have any contacts just let me know!
