| Winnipeg | Any cheap hotel at airport to recommend? Posted: Wed May 11, 2005 07:22 AM UTC
I am taking a flight from Toronto to Vancouver in July, and will have to stay one night in Winnipeg for tranfer. I'll arrive at Winnipeg late (10pm) and leave the next morning (flight at 6:30am). All I need is a bed to sleep.
Are there some inexpensive motels around the airport? Thanks! |

... not sure but for winnipeg restaurants you can visit http://www.winnipegmenu.com where to eat in winnipeg, with winnipeg fine dining and winipeg's best burgers, lets you know where to EAT IN WINNIPEG, WINNIPEG RESTAURANTS

Being from Winnipeg and working at the airport, I think I can help you!!
There is a Howard johnson right near the airport (cheap but dingy, shouldn't be your number one choice), a Greenwood Hotel (pretty nice, a little pricey), a Hilton hotel, Clarion hotel (new, very nice, fair pricing), a CanadInns about a 10 min drive away (attached to a niteclub, next to biggest shopping center and football stadium, pretty decent pricing), and there is also a Holiday Inn that I believe has a shuttle. The Greenwood and Hilton are both along the main road that leads into the airport, probably your best bets. And there is also a Sheraton Four Points hotel located right across the street (literally) from the main terminal, I'd say it would be a bit pricey, but if you get in late and leave early, it's an option! Hope this helps! There is a good website, www.winnipeghotels.org, and it's pretty helpful as well.
