ok,guys(and girls),this year will be my first trip to the roskilde -festival;since i'm a heavy drinker,and i will be flyin' to copenhague, i was wondering if you had any tips on getting in the mood cheaply !!-also i was wondering if christiana in kopenhagen is still worth a visit ?any more silly tips for the festival ?!

Christiania is well worth a visiting before the Roskilde, if you know what i mean...;)
If your accomodation is in the tent, you are allowed to bring your beers at the camping area. Buy your beers in the town of Roskilde, so you dont need to carry them from far.
In the festival area, the beer-stalls pay you for the empty plastic beer glasses. So keep your eyes open and collect those glasses for money/beer.
Enjoy the fiesta!!!!

Well, give it a try!! It wasnt too ceowded when i was there(well, at least i didnt spot too many peoples...;))

just a suggestion, but the past couple of years when ive been art roskilde festival Ive financed my beer by collectiing empty glasses..u get one krone for eachone and they are everywhere..might be a silly suggestion but think about it

buying beer in another city than Roskilde is cheaper.....

Tips:

1) Remember to bring warm clothes and rubber boots.
(rubber is always good to bring...)

2) Drink and enjoy (especially Metallica)

3) E and other hard drugs will get you in trouble

4) Crap in advance - or learn to do it standing.

5) Take the train directly to the Festival (not the usual Roskilde city station - easy, relatively fast, fairly cheap

6) Don't litter in Roskilde city - there are garbage cans everywhere.

7) Bring warm clothes (just checking, it does get very cold when the sun goes down - especially if it is a clear night without clouds.)

thx andy,i heard yesterday on the radio ,that beerprices are down 30 percent this year on roskilde,maybe this forum had something to do with it ! LOL

I was there last year, on Christiania, and there wasnt more people, because of the Roskilde Festival... Hope you enjoy the Festival!!
