Rimini Travel Forum

My boyfriend and I are planning to visit Rimini as my brother is working there for the summer. We're planning to spend a few days there then maybe spend some time in some other resorts/cities. How easy is it to travel around and where would you recommend visiting? Will we struggle to find accommodation anywhere in late July/August?

Any hints and tips greatly appreciated as I have never visited Italy before.

in august I would definitly book, both in rimini and in other resort towns on the adriatic coast.If you are looking for resort cities, I would not move from Rimini as it is the most crowded one in summer, I'd spend some day trips to ferrara, bologna and ravemnna though, all very nice cities not far from Rimini.

Once you see Rimini you will know what to do! It is like nowhere else I have been! Buses are regular but I would suggest a bit of research prior to travel there. Of course I don’t know what you are looking for in a holiday. I had a bit of trouble in the off-season finding accommodation because there was a national ballroom dancing contest on at the time. All in all my time there was the strangest few days of my trip. Good luck j
