I am not in Aviano area, but visit frequently. There is a large U.S. population of military people in the area. Plenty of places/people speak english.

I'm not sure about studying, but working would be a potential! One job that seems very much in need is people to teach english privately. You usually work thru a school or company and they send you out on assignment to various families, classes, etc. Just a thought and it pays well! There could also be work possiblities thru the base.

I'd be happy to tell you more, I just don't know what you would like to hear! Send for more via email!

Ciao

You would not be able to work through the base. Only Italian nationals and American military dependents are eligible for jobs or qualified U.S. govt employees.. If you don't speak any Italian, your job hunt would be very limited. A good possibility would be to work at a local restaurant near the base in Aviano where just about everybody speaks English. When you get here I would just ask around at the local restaurants in Aviano. Teaching English would mean you must know some Italian to answer questions and to be able to converse.
