Are there any Expat bars or good Pubs in Pusan area. Not interested in the Asian buy me a drink bar scene.

The WA Bar in Busan has a good rep. It's part of a chain of western bars. The one in my home city is great.

Fat Joe's, which is owned by a Canadian, is one of the top expat hang-outs.

If you're looking for a good expat scene, check out the PNU area. There are tons of little places where you'll find a good mix of expats. The Basement, Camel, Crossroads, SoulTrane and others are all in this area. There's good shopping and eats, too, so you can kind of get it all in one place. For more information on good hotspots, check out www.pusanweb.com, and go to the Entertainment section. There are listings for great expat spots all over town.

If you don't get to PNU, you can find places all over town...

Hi.

Can anyone give me directions from the Lotte hotel to the PNU bar area? I could get the subway there (need clear directions from the subway station, though, as my sense of direction is terrible). Depending on what time the subway closes, I'd probably need to get a taxi back.

Are there any other bar areas or individual expat bars near the Lotte? I'm interested in bars with cheap drink, good music and the opportunity to meet expats and English-speaking locals. I'm not interested in clubs/discos or dance music.
