how much are the taxis in Norwich? I might need to get from the train/bus station with a lot of luggage to a village south of NR, 5 to 10 miles

hi kimi,
you're one of very few norwichians at VT :-)

well, thanks for the info on taxi fares, at least I have an idea.
Further, I've realized the pronunciation of local town names (and maybe of many other things) is not such as one would expect to; e.g. wymondham should be pronounced like "windum" or so, right or joke?

as well, I'm looking for a room to rent, for 5-6 months from mid June on; within NR/Eaton-Wymondham-Ashwellthorpe-Stoke Holy Cross area, have you any idea/tip?

don't be offended with norwichian, you norfolk girl (or lady?) :-)) I've been just joking about it (as I'm ready to be laughed at being in norfolk)
well, I am going there for study stay (at lotus), am looking forward to quite a much: you know I'm tired of city, I prefer countryside to overcrowded town. however, the shade of countryside are the problems with transportation, lodging etc.
I have a rough idea what to see and do in the spare time (biking around, castle, museums, broads, seaside, transport museum...) but am open to any suggestion. so if you have some, just pass it on.

"don't know much about long term stays ??(as oposed to hotels or B&Bs)" means you know much on B&Bs? should you know some cheaper one (<20pounds per night) nearby hethel (within 8-10miles) recommend it to me please :-)

HI
No I'm not worried about being Norwichian?!! or a norfolk lady!! ha ha !!
Not exactly very knowing on b&bs just looked in local telephone directory these came up
Bridgehaven at Newton Flotman 01508 471639
Woodlands at Ashwellthorpe 01508 489220 maybe this will help-this area is not really on the 'tourist trail' so I don't think there will be loads to choose from-maybe when you get to Lotus you can find someone there??
Good luck on all areas
