Hi, here are links to three different guest houses in Sliema. The prices range from LM6 to LM8 per day which is quite cheap. I doubt whether you would find anything cheaper in Sliema which is expensive especially from May onwards.

The easiest way to get to Sliema from the airport is by taxi. It doesn't cost too much...around LM6.00. There is a taxi stand at the airport with the prices. Otherwise you would need to take a bus from the airport to Valletta and from Valletta another bus to Sliema. The bus stops at several places in Sliema and it's easy to get to the hotel of your choice. Bus number 8 takes you from the airport to Valletta, however, the last bus is around 8pm. You will also need to walk from the airport to the bus-stop and this will take you around 20 minutes. Hope this helps...let us know if you need more info. Have a nice holiday! Anne
