CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO GET THERE, I BELIEVE ITS A LOVELY PLACE, BEACHES , FOREST AND SMALL TOWN, BUT I WILL BE GOING BY BUS OR TRAIN ANY SUGGESTIONS, THANKS
ALSO VEJER DE FONTERA , AN I REACH HERE TOO BY BUS, IM SURE I CAN BUT STILL ANYONE DONE THE TRIP.

Hola!
Caños de Meca is really a group of houses, not a proper town. Is located in CADIZ's province atlantic coast, near (14 kms) from Vejer, a nice white town in the top of a hill.
You can't get there by train, there is no line along the coast. You have to get to either CADIZ or ALGECIRAS. From there, you can take any of the frequent (several daily) buses that stop at Vejer or Caños, with COMES bus company.
You can sleep either in Vejer and take the bus to Caños or just in Caños. A good place (and cheap) is the Camping "Los Caños". They have bungalows too.

Don't miss the Trafalgar lighthouse, the Bolonia beach and roman ruins and Tarifa's windsurfers beaches. You can even take a 1 day trip to Morocco from Tarifa. Gibraltar is another nice 1 day trip.

I use to spend holidays there, so dont hesitate to ask me details.

hi thnks for that, im flying into malaga (at last) and just not sure where to head for first, i may go to cordoba and granada, then head to cadiz, havent booked any room syet either.
do you have to take your own tent to canos de meca campsite, ive emailed them , so im expecting some info off them. I wanto to see the cities aswell as chill seeing all those beaches, cycle and indulge in talking photos to my hearts content.thnks agin for your help,

I'm planning a trip too to Andalucia from end of April for two weeks - to the coast mainly Costa del Luz - wonderingif you have any idea what the weather will be like. I heard it is really windy? Any ideas?
