Garda Typical costs
Posted: Fri April 29, 2005 01:46 PM UTC
I am travelling to Lake Garda next week and was wondering whether eating and drinking in bars and restaurants was expensive in comparison with the UK.

Also we are going to Venice for 2 days - any suggestions of where we should eat?
I have heard some horror stories about eating fish/seafood.

Well, i don't know about the rest of UK, but comparing to london you won't find the prices too high in Garda area.
For a 2 course + dessert, mineral water and a bottle of ordinary wine, expect between 60 and 80 euros for 2 people, all included, in an average restaurant (of course maybe more in others).
Ciao

Well said!

You can find places even more affordable, all depends on how hungry you are or how fancy you prefer to dine!

Enjoy your visit to Garda, you will be just around the corner from us!

Italy is expensive as Uk and you can eat whatever you want, but in Venice, be careful: don't eat in San Marco's square: it's very very expensive and food is horrible.

Have you already booked your holiday on the Garda Leke?
When I was there, I booked my residence on line, visiting a usefull website.
Actually I don't remebre the right name, but it seems to be www.selfbooking.com

Have a nice journey!

Costs are generally lower than uk. Avoid anywhere with a "menu turistica"!
