| Balchik | About a Hollyday in Balchic Posted: Thu April 28, 2005 11:24 AM UTC
Hello!
I have some questions about Balchik: - how is the seaside? Is there nice sand or nasty rocs? - is there any nice pension/ guesthouse? If not, what about hotels? - I know what is to be visited and that's why I've choose Balchik, but what are the nightlife attractions? At least bowling and discos? Last but not least: what would be your reccommendation? I'd like to go on the Bulgarian seaside because it's not far from my place (Bucharest), have a good bath in the sea, lie on a nice beach, get out in the evenings with my husband and friends and stay in a nice room (with adjacent bathroom), preferably with windows to the sea. Any suggestions? Thank you very much, Irina. |

Irina,
I was the last year in Balcic for some hours. In my own opinion it is definitely worth to visit. - sand - A lot of pensions, guesthouses, hotels Any way, I am not sure about <<nightlife attractions>>. Balcic seems to be quieter. I think there are chances to find even rooms with ”sight to the sea”. However, it depends on your expectations if you would like or not. Balcic and Bulgaria as travel goal are not really what people means with “higher class international tourism” like e.g. Riviera or even Greece, Turkey or Croatia. My self I enjoyed in Balcic, maybe because my special glasses ;) Good luck! P.S. By the way, I am a native Romanian.

Thanks, Comosicus!
And thanks to all who sent me info about Baltchik and Bulgaria. Unfortunately, our holiday finances are gone with the wind, so my husband and I will spend the vacation in our countryhouse. It could be worse, so I can't complaint. Maybe next year :-) Cheers to all! Irina.
