I just tried to book with Jagson and have a reply that they do not fly there anymore !!!!!!!!
I have tried the domestic Indian airline and the other big domestic player, (I can't remember the name) Is there a smaller operator I could try? |

There is no airline that flies to Jaisalmer. The closest airport is Jodhpur and there are flights from New delhi to Jodhpur. You can take a taxi or bus from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer.
The other two big airlines are Jet Airways & Air Sahara, eventhose dont fly to Jaiselmer

You can fly into Jodhpur by any of the three domestic airlines and then take a bus or taxi that takes approximately six hours. Airconditioned taxi is more comfortable if you are travelling in the hot months!!!

It's worth adding that Jodhpur, with its fine Fort and interesting accomodation, is a very worthwhile destination in itself.

Yes, I am also keen to see Jodhpur, only problem was time, but I think I have that covered now. Doing an itinerary for India is like doing a giant jigsaw puzzle and someone keeps messing up the pieces, but the satisfaction is sweet when it all works.

Take Taxi,State Transport Bus, Train if you go by car take 5 Hours drive to Jaisalmer very good road and nice Golden sand dunes.
