This is my first posting, so I'm not quite sure how this works yet... Bear with me.
I'm travelling to Cyprus on May 7th with my Uncle who has business associates there. He will be in meetings all day, based in Nicosia. I'm basically on my own. I'm looking for suggestions of what to see while I'm there. I do want to spend a day or two just on the beach. My uncle has suggested Nissi Bay. Please leave me any input! Thanks! |

Hi,
It is a question were your are staying if you are in Nicosia, Nissi beach in Ayia Napa is about 60-70 mile drive so you will need a car or public transport. The other thing you can do if in Nicosia is to go shoping and have a look at old city and there are further designer shops in the new part just outside the walled part of the city. Nissi Beach is great and there are a lot of Hotels in the area and also the night life in Ayai Napa which is about 20min walk. I hope this helps you Michael

Hi Meg,
It is very easy to do Nicosia in a day. Most of the interesting things are in or close to the old walled city and it is best to move around on foot. The top museums are the archeological, the Leventis, and the icons museums. If you enjoy architecture the house of Hadjigeorgakis Kornesios is a must see. Nicosia has also some nice cafes you can just sit and watch people going by. Ayia Napa is the busiest and livliest beach resort. Nissi Beach is a great place and although I have not stayed in the Hotel the last few years it used to be great. I hope you enjoy your visit. Alex
