| Faroe Islands | Costs and things to do Posted: Mon April 25, 2005 12:21 PM UTC
It is just in the early stages now, but we are thinking of taking a trip to the Faroe Islands later this year of next. I have looked at flights from the UK and they run around £250 per person from London.
1) Does anyone know of better priced flights from the UK? Once we get there, we have no ideas of the costs. 2) What is the average cost for a hotel/flat, meals, transportation between the islands and on the islands, fishing license, etc. and would these things need to be booked in advance or could it all be done in person? 3) If we have 14 days there, what has to be seen and done? i am interested in history as well as the 'wilderness' landscape, animals, and fishing. 4) What is the best month to go in both terms of price/things to do/and fewest number of tourists? |

I've heard that it's advisable to pre-book transportation if you're planning to visit the Mykines.
