I am going to Lhasa this July. I am from Chengdu (China) and I am a psychology graduate student in U.S. right now. I would like to have someone to travel together. Having a trip company is always better than travelling by yourself. Please let me know if you are interested in?

Hi! I'm doing my China/HK/Macau bit in June & July, leaving frm HK back to UK on 16/7/05. I'm originally from Malaysia, but currently studying in Scotland.

I'm keen to travel with someone else too as I'll be doing the whole trip alone. I'm starting off in Xian on 27th June, & will be there till 3rd June, then looking for other places to move on to .. I haven't got all the places I'd like to go carved in stone, but I'd like to see as much as I can of China. Being a buddhist, I've always dreamt of a visit to Lhasa. But I was told that it's not very safe to go to that part of China alone, especially as a lone female. I heading to Xian in July as well and then on to Lhasa with some friends. We will only be there for a few days in mid July.

I do apologise - I've just noticed that I had typed the wrong departure date from Xian. I've arrived in Xian on 27th of May, & left on 6th of June. I have since embarked on my journey on the Silk Road. I'm currently in Dun Huang, & will be leaving tonight (actually, midnight of 13th June) for Beijing.

Some friends in Beijing & Shanghai have just called me to go over to join them over there, so I will be spending a week in Beijing, followed by another week in Shanghai, to arrive in Hong Kong for 26th of June. I have to remain in HK till at least the 1st or 2nd of July due to a Lions Convention there; after which I will be able to go anywhere else again. Since my travel route had changed, I now hope to visit Lhasa via the south-west route instead of the north (i.e. via Guangdong/Canton & Guilin). Thus the dates I have for travelling is from 2nd July. When are the exact dates that you & your friends plan to go to Lhasa?

We'll be in Beijing on the 10th for 3 days, the to Xi'an for a couple days, and then to Lhasa, likely on the 15th if we get our visa's squared away.
