i would like to know if there is someone that could give prices from the kind of living there so that i can prepare myself...

Ask VT member Kennetrose. She lives there. Although general prices could be answered, I think, by anyone living in the UK.
Good luck.

Prices of clothes & food are much the same everywhere, depending on which shops/ supermarkets you use. Email me a list of specific items & I'll do my best to price them for you, which will give you an idea. But the UK is not a cheap place to live so prepare to be surprised!

Hi there
i live in reading and its expensive, because ou are paying london prices without the pleasure of living in london!
rent for a single room will be £350 upwards per month
food is fairly basic price, however Tescos supermarket is much cheaper than any other!!
again you can buy cheap clothes or mega desinger expensive clothes so its up to you!
my advice is to save up some pennies before you arrive! but once here you should be able to find work fairly quicky!
i hope this helps and feel free to ask anything esle
