Hi

I’m moving to Sharjah From Toronto in search of employment, and would like to know from which company to buy medical coverage until I find a job that will cover my medical cost (hope I never use it)

I hope to get some info.

Hey how are you doing? Okay... about the medical insurance - you can't get any until you have a residency visa. Basically when you come to the UAE, you can come in on a visit visa (max. of three months and then you have to leave and re-enter) or sponsored by a company (where you will be able to get the medical insurance, drivers license, register a car, bank accoutn etc) You won't be able to get ANYTHING until you are offically a resident. Why are you going to Sharjah though? It's a great city, but if you're looking for a job, I would really recommend Dubai. It's more diverse and has a lot of international companies. I've put a list of recruitment agencies that might be able to help.
I dont' know much about them, but they claim they are the best.

hi there,

just wanna confirm the above infos, however, in case you need to see a doctor in uae, you my get appointment without been insured, you will pay for consultation and medication of course, but i think it will be ok, they want charge lot of money if you know where to go.
